When I doubt people, I feel pain.
When I judge people, it is unbearable.
When I hate people, there is no value to my existence.

Yet if I believe, I am deceived.
If I love, I am betrayed.
Suffering and grieving tonight, my head in my hands
Am I wrong?

Yes, I am wrong.
Even though we are deceived, still believe.
Though we are betrayed, still forgive.
Love completely even those who hate you.

Wipe your tears away and welcome with a smile
Those who know nothing but deceit
And those who betray without regret.

Oh Master! The pain of loving!
Look at my hands.
Place your hand on my chest.
My heart is bursting, such agony!

But when I loved those who acted against me
I brought victory.
If you have done the same thing,
I will give you the crown of glory.

Reflection….

In order to receive the crown of glory we do really have to undergo a sacrificial life where we have to live a life that is for the sake of others, a total self denial wherein we have to embrace our detractors in whatever circumstances and in whatever situation we are in just like Jesus in His time where He loves His enemy even He was about to die on the cross, He continue to love those who protest His mission and much more painful those prepared person or the chosen people were the one being used by evil as an instrument to thwart His mission here on earth. In present day persecution continue to these days although not physically but spiritual but we cannot discount the possibility of physical persecution in the face of the earth today like country that is the object of envy especially the sept 11 bombing should not be repeated again. It’s more challenging today because Rev. Moon says we have to love our enemy more than our family. Loving one’s enemy beyond what we have imagine when we are in the midst of outrage is so painful but it’s the only way to victory just like in the New Testament the path towards the Heaven is the narrow gate.
